Walkham is a small family company founded in 1996 by David Wright; an individual with an unparalleled enthusiasm for teak garden furniture.

David's honest character and eye for design gave birth to a carefully curated collection of premium teak garden furniture spanning almost twenty years.

Our teak manufacture needed to use the world's best teak, which led us to setup production in Indonesia using grade 'A' sustainable teak using our own original, trademarked designs.

Our founder, David Wright, believed in quality at honest and fair prices. Teak is the world's most durable wood for outdoor use and was seen as the perfect platform to create a brand and furniture to last generations.

A major inspiration point came from an unlikely source in HMS Defiance, a series of wooden hulled warships built in 1860 which, when decommissioned in 1956, provided the wood to create this sturdy teak bench. Following this enormous endorsement regarding quality, teak was always the species of choice for creating a timeless garden furniture range.

Walkham attracted the attention of investors in 2014 who took ownership of the business following the retirement of the founder, Mr David Wright with a firm commitment to continue the good work and tradition put in place in over 20 years of hard work.

Walkham will maintain its position as a leader in teak garden furniture with the introduction of more contemporary designs and alternative materials that appeal to the British consumer.

Walkham is an authorized, audited and approved vendor for Amazon and will continue to exhibit at the Chelsea Flower Show where it has held an unrivalled position as the only FSC teak furniture exhibitor at that event for several years.
